Bonjour à tous
Un extrait d'un message de Enrique
"Some stars are catalogued as double, but exhibit no step. There might be three reasons:
(i) the separation is too close for the sampling rate you are using, or the light curve is too noisy;
(ii) the star is catalogued as double but it is not (there are quite a few of these);
(iii) the star is double and the separation is large enough, but the two components touch the limb at the same time, or very close in time, so that no step can be seen (see attached diagram).
The negative observations are also reported and published to put limits to the parameters of the star, but of course the light curves are boring. Do not be disappointed, all observations are valuable and should be reported."
